Abhinav Dr. H. M. Krishnamurthy, inspired by the ideals of Kempegowda, has undertaken numerous religious activities in the Ramanagara district of Magadi taluk. Recognizing their contributions, the University of Florida has conferred upon them a doctoral degree and honored them. The Karnataka state government has also recognized Kempegowda's achievements and conferred awards, including the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award.
